Dennis is a partner for the firm and practices criminal defense. He joined the firm in 1994. Dennis has an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest rating awarded. Before moving to Boise, he practiced law in both Seattle and San Francisco.
From 1991 to 1993, Dennis clerked at the Idaho Supreme Court for Justice Stephen Bistline and he continues to be particularly interested in appellate law. In addition to having argued many cases before the appellate courts on behalf of his clients, he has also been privileged to appear before the Idaho Supreme Court as amicus curiae (“friend of the court”) in cases of constitutional importance.
Dennis is on the Board of Directors of the Idaho Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and is the 2002 recipient of the IACDL President's Award. In addition to serving on the Idaho Supreme Court's Evidence Rules Committee, he is a frequent lecturer on legal topics.
